There are a lot of tournaments – but there is ONLY one Kill tournament – it is the Bearpaw Kill tournament in Eisenbach Germany. For the third time brave archers both male and female of all ages and skill levels gathered together to meet the challenge of a Kill Bonus tournament. The special appeal of the tournament is that on the first day each contestant must shoot two arrows at each of the 28 stations, any hits that wound or just hit the body cause you to lose points. Only hits in the kill and inner kill count for gaining points. The second day is a 1 arrow hunting round that is challenging, the maximum shooting distance was 30 meters just like in years past.
Henry Bodnik and his team were again able to create a very challenging course this year by using the natural terrain features to create a unique tournament and climate. Whether you were shooting while kneeling, through a small opening, from a distance or from a shooting stand – NO shot was simple – NO two shots where alike. The smiling faces of the contestants at the end of each day spoke volumes. We will report on the tournament highlight from Saturday night here in the Bearpaw-blog.com on Thursday. Until then you can best spend the time thinking about the experiences that were gained during the tournament.
We would like to give a BIG thanks all those who came to the tournament – we will see you next year at the Bearpaw Kill Bonus Tournament in Eisenbach Germany.
